Terms of Service

These Terms govern purchases and use of SourceLens supplier research reports and related services. By purchasing or using a service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our service

SourceLens provides remote supplier research and sourcing reports based on publicly available information and materials supplied by the customer. Deliverables may include supplier snapshots, business and marketplace signals, factory-versus-trading-company estimates, risk notes, comparison tables, questions to confirm, and a practical recommendation.

2. Important service boundaries

SourceLens is not a purchasing agent, freight forwarder, importer of record, escrow provider, factory auditor, product inspection company, law firm, tax adviser, customs adviser, or certification body. We do not hold supplier payments or inventory funds and do not negotiate or sign contracts on your behalf.

3. No guarantee

Reports organize information available at the time of research. Records may be incomplete, outdated, translated, inconsistent, or unavailable. A report does not guarantee supplier identity, ownership, capacity, product quality, compliance, delivery, honesty, or future performance. You remain responsible for your final purchasing decision and for obtaining appropriate contracts, samples, inspections, audits, testing, legal advice, and payment protection.

4. Customer responsibilities

• Provide accurate supplier links, documents, requirements, and contact details.
• Confirm that you are authorized to share materials submitted to SourceLens.
• Review the report and independently confirm important facts before paying a supplier.
• Do not use the service for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or rights-infringing purposes.

5. Scope, delivery, and timing

Each purchase covers the scope described on the website or otherwise confirmed in writing. Quick checks are generally delivered within 24–48 hours and sourcing reports within 48–72 hours after payment and receipt of sufficient information. These are estimates, not guaranteed deadlines. We may request clarification or adjust timing when information is missing, the request is unusually complex, or third-party sources are unavailable.

6. Payments and refunds

Prices are shown before checkout and payments are processed by the identified payment provider. Because reports are custom work, payments are final once research has started. If SourceLens determines that it cannot complete the agreed check, we will refund the applicable payment. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer right that applies to you.

7. Changes to scope

Requests outside the purchased scope—including additional suppliers, new product categories, extensive follow-up research, supplier communication, sample support, or urgent delivery—may require a separate quote and written confirmation.

8. Intellectual property and permitted use

You retain rights in the materials you provide. SourceLens retains rights in its research methods, report structure, templates, branding, and pre-existing materials. After full payment, you may use the delivered report internally for your own sourcing and business decisions. You may not resell, republish, or present the report as your own commercial research product without written permission.

9. Third-party sources and services

Reports may reference third-party websites, marketplaces, registries, translations, and documents. SourceLens does not control or endorse those sources and is not responsible for their availability or accuracy. Payment, messaging, and document platforms are governed by their own terms and policies.

10. Confidentiality

We will use reasonable care with non-public materials supplied for a report and will use them only to provide and administer the service, subject to our Privacy Policy and any disclosure required by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SourceLens will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for losses arising from supplier conduct, payments to suppliers, product defects, shipment delays, regulatory issues, or business decisions made using a report. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SourceLens's total liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to that claim.

12. Refusal or termination

We may refuse, suspend, or end a request that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, outside our capabilities, creates an unreasonable safety or compliance risk, or violates these Terms. Where appropriate, we will explain whether any refund is due for work not started.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The version in effect when you purchase a service will govern that purchase unless a change is required by law.
